No one here likes you
Go away
Get a clue
Go back to your fucking zoo
Or whatever it is you do

I don’t know why
I don’t like what’s in your eyes
and I’d love to split ‘em wide

I could pretend
Dude, can’t you understand
I hate you, my friend

And some call it obsession
And some call it pure hate
And others call it pathetic
But some totally relate

I’d rather go to hell
Than shake your hand or wish you well
In case you couldn’t tell

Go ahead boy drink your drink
Go ahead boy do your thing
Can you live knowing the words to every song I sing.

I could pretend
Dude, can’t you understand
I hate you, my friend

And some call it obsession
And some call it pure hate
And others call it pathetic
But some totally relate

No one here likes you
Go away
Get a clue
Go back to your fucking zoo
Or whatever it is you do

I could pretend
Can’t you understand
I hate you, my friend

I hate you, my friend
I hate you, my friend

Thanks! Anyway you could post the lyrics to “I’m alive” off of “first sign of anything”?
Please, I can’t find them anywhere!
Thanks!

Thanks Andy, I plan to get a lyrics section up as part of the release of the next album. I’ll be sure to include them.

Great tune, just wondering if there is an uncensored version anywhere? Looking forward to the new album :)

Dazz.

Thanks Dazz.

Believe it or not, I never did an uncensored version of the tune. I was told I needed to cut a swear word or two off the album to get it into the big chains like Wallmart so we intentionally did, what we thought was kind of a retro thing, with the big loud beep and all. It’s meant to be a bit over the top and intentionally draw attention to itself.

I saw the movie a couple weeks ago and can’t get that song out of my head. I catch myself singing it through out the day, love the arrangement. I bought it from Itunes last night so I can keep it in my head now….lol. Thanks for writing it and can’t wait to hear the new version also. It is very cool that you make it available for free on this site, very cool.

Thanks Joey. If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up even if you already have the track. I send out free music fairly often to the list. Mostly tracks I haven’t released before.

Signed up and ready to go. It is nice to see people who love making music and sharing their thoughts in song with us and not just in it for the money. I will buy your stuff from now on though, just to support a good man. Am I being too nosesy to ask where you got the inspiration for “I hate you my friend”? Just curious, fasinated at how you guys come up with new and fresh material like that, even though it is 10yrs old, lol. Im sorry I haven’t found it before now.

No worries Joey, The song was written after a bit of an “altercation” I had with a former friend of mine who had started dating an ex-girlfriend of mine a little too soon after our split. I suppose it wasn’t really as dramatic as all that but at least I got a good tune out of it :)

Thanks for asking.

I looooooove this song. Just saw the movie on cable the other night. I don’t know why this wasn’t the single on your first album.

Thanks for posting these. I’ve been trying to figure out what that word you and the back up vocals shout is forever. Dude… doh!

Love the song. Congrats on getting it in the film.
